DICE创意总监：Linux平台缺少杀手级游戏

　　外设天下讯　10月14日消息，随着Valve的Steam OS和Steam机器的到来，Linux平台原生游戏不多的局面可能会改变，游戏厂商的态度多少松动了，DICE创意总监就对Linux作为游戏平台的前景发表了一番耐人寻味的看法。

　　Linux平台上的应用程序不论数量还是种类都不少，但在游戏上跟Windows平台相差极大，除了一些模拟器运行的游戏之外，主流3D游戏很少会开发原生Linux版。随着Valve的Steam OS和Steam机器的到来，Linux平台原生游戏不多的局面可能会改变，至少厂商的态度多少松动了，DICE创意总监就对Linux作为游戏平台的前景发表了一番耐人寻味的看法。

　　Lars Gustavsson从第一代战地就参与了开发，现在是DICE创意总监，在接受Polygon采访时他也谈到了对Linux平台的看法。他认为Linux平台需要一款杀手级的游戏来推动Linux成为主流平台。

　　他说“从某种原因上，我们强烈希望进军Linux平台。第一代Xbox靠着Halo游戏的加持有了开具，然后变得疯狂。一般情况下，如果有一个杀手级应用或者游戏，人们就会更期待（新平台）。上手Linux平台并不难，它需要的是一款游戏刺激人们。”

　　总之，Gustavsson非常期待Valve现在对Linux所做的一切。不管Valve是否能引领这个潮流，但是多一点竞争总是好的。Gustavsson以VHS（录像带）和Betamax（ 新力公司发展的Beta制录像系统）为例做了阐释，在那场竞争中VHS胜出了。就算没有一直保持正确的方向，有健康的竞争总是好的。

　　DICE创意总监的话表明他们对Linux作为游戏平台的前景还是挺有兴趣的，认为Linux平台缺少杀手级的应用或者游戏来吸引用户。从战地系列的影响来看，战地4是有这个资格的，不过战地4是否真有希望进入Linux平台还得看Vavle搞的Steam战略如何。
