这几天还是继续在全世界的网络上淘东西，一哥们说在北欧市场上现在有个垫子比较热，发了个链接给我，一看，原来是ZOWIE。既然国内现在讨论的很热烈，索性就翻译过来，大家一起看看。

Conclusion
Looking at mouse mats is not exactly a new discipline for yours truly as numerous new mats have crossed my desk since 2000 and as I seem to be able to recount all of them in fairly good details it has given me a extensive "base of reference" for evaluating new products in the category. This also makes it quite interesting to see "the next new solution" and see if anything innovative actually has been introduced.
Newcomer ZOWIE has gotten off to a good start with their 3 mats, and even though they haven't come up with the perfect formula they've still managed to develop a product that has the potential to get far.
ZOWIE's mats have a unique surface coating we haven't seen used anywhere else and this is most likely due to no one else daring to create a mat with such a rough surface texture as the ZOWIE mats. The surface surely has both pros and cons depending on personal preferences and the thickness of chosen mat.
Looking at pros there's no doubt that the mouse mat surface is truly durable and will last a long time; it even offers resistance to "spillage" from beverages etc. and won't take any damages from these.
On the cons side it can be said that the rough texture of the surface might be a bit rough on ones hand when used for prolonged periods of time. However the thin mats compared to the thick one feels quite a bit more comfortable to use, but unfortunately the thin mats haven't got an acceptable large surface area for them to be truly useful for serious gaming beyond slower paced strategy games.
That said the mats have a great potential and looks like a really interesting product for the gamer market anno 2009; whether they will become a huge success or not all depends on ZOWIE and where they're going to take their products next.
| ZOWIEs Mouse mats pulls our Tweak'O meter to a resounding 9 which relies mostly on their excellent performance despite their slightly awkward composition of chosen size and thickness, and looking from an overall perspective ZOWIE definitely have the perfect solution within reach.
The qualities - as well as the performance - of the ZOWIE mouse mats are truly exciting and this is regardless whether they're used for 'serious' work-related tasks or 'serious' gaming. |

ZOWIE 鼠标垫有一个独特的表面，而且没有使用其他制造商所一直采用的材质和技术，很可能是因为没有制造商敢于选择一个粗糙表面作为ZOWIE的一个卖点。 但是一个产品的优点和缺点取决于你个人，如何能跨越教条死板的形式而有绝对的创新意识。
在ZOWIE看来，它的好处是在疯狂使用垫子表面的同时，不受到流体的不利影响。消极的一面就是，粗面的一个小面积的薄垫，虽然感觉明显优于厚，但遗憾的是，小垫子不够大，严重游戏的操作和战略执行
因此，ZOWIE最为一个已经成功一大半成功的产品，很可能在2009年占有相当大的游戏市场。
